Jeremy Hoggard Declaration of Candidacy
My name is Jeremy Hoggard and I am seeking election to the Monticello City Council. I am a lifelong resident of Monticello and business owner myself! Our family loves living here, and we look forward to the future. Several issues concern me and I would love to be part of the solution. The city is currently working on a water project that will be a great benefit to our community in addition to more conservation efforts. Other issues/projects that I would like to work on are affordable housing. As Albert Einstein said, "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them". We have great potential to think outside the box for appropiate solutions. Attracting new and beneficial business to our community and supporting the businesses here with a shop at home campaign. We have great recreation programs that need to be continued and expanded. I fully support our beautification committee and would like to help them expand these programs.
