Shane Brewer - Candidate for Monticello City Council I’m Shane Brewer and have lived in Monticello for 28 years and the surrounding area for most of my life. During that time I have worked for CEU and USU as a math professor. My wife, Marti, and I have been fortunate enough to raise our family in this community and benefit from living in a small community with such an excellent quality of life. While our community doesn’t have everything, it has so many things that people ultimately want when choosing a place to live. I would hope that we could continue to foster such a community. Over the years, we’ve seen significant investments and improvements in our city, and I’m confident more will come. Not every change is universally popular, but taken together, they help move Monticello forward. When challenges arise, I believe we can work together—with respect and open dialogue—to find practical solutions. No single person has all the answers, but as a community, we can find the right ones for Monticello. It would be a privilege to serve and help Monticello as it moves forward.
