SET STATUS UPDATE

As fire conditions continue to be monitored, the affected evacuation zones: SJC-2, SJC-4, SJC-Dude Ranch

Monticello Zones: MC-1, MC-3, MC-4, MC-7, MC-8, MC-10, MC-11, MC-12, MC-17, MC-18, MC-20, MC-19, MC-22 have been placed in SET Status.

We know this can be stressful, but SET is not an evacuation order. It is simply a reminder to prepare now so that, if conditions change, you can leave calmly and safely.

Now is the time to gather important documents, medications, and essential items, fuel your vehicle, and make a plan for your family, pets, and livestock. We also encourage you to contact family or friends now to see if you can stay with them should your area move to GO Status. If you do not have family or friends to stay with, don't worry, a temporary shelter location will be identified and announced if a GO evacuation becomes necessary.

If you or someone in your household has access or functional needs, now is the time to think through how you will evacuate if a GO Status is issued. Consider any mobility equipment, medical devices, medications, transportation needs, caregivers, service animals, or other assistance you may require. Making those arrangements now can make an evacuation much smoother if it becomes necessary.

Our firefighters and emergency responders continue to work tirelessly to protect our communities, and we are closely monitoring conditions. If additional protective actions become necessary, we will notify you immediately through official channels.

Thank you for staying prepared, staying informed, and looking out for one another. Taking these simple steps now can make all the difference if conditions change.
